"Our fourth release is a full length album from norwegian artist Coax, who has previously made appearances on Kahvi and Monotonik netlabels. Artifacts And Discovery being the title, the album is a wonderfully varied combination of ambient softness, dramatic orchestral pieces, sensitive piano interludes, science fiction movie atmosphere, all spiced up with the occasional electronic rhythms. At times, you feel like you have landed on the surface of an unknown planet, feel the tension build as you look around and there is nothing but unexplored terrain surrounding you. Then, as the album goes further, the next moment.. the dreamy string ensemble capture your attention, you begin to feel safe and comfortable again. Enchanted with the beautiful harmonies, you watch the clouds passing by, happy memories from the past are filling your mind, you feel like floating. Close your eyes, enter the intriguing world of Artifacts And Discovery."
Five lush Electronica pearls have been aligned to a handy EP under his most famous moniker, which shows certainly proof of not only some kind of concept but also of the unquestionable mastership that Esa exposes in all his musical works. Without trendy side blows some grumblers might call it traditional but the more enlightened listener is fairly aware that glistening tunes and sophisticated beat architecture in broad cinemascope will never ever become obsolete.
'Thistledown' is a mix of abstract sounds and oddball melodic sparring, somewhat sweetened by the occasional song-like refrain. There is much that is jagged and spiky and unforgiving, like the coarsest of thistles, but there is also music that has a soft and ethereal delicacy, like down, ready to blow away with the slightest puff.
There are eight short improvised works. The three play together for fun, allowing themselves little ‘forbidden’ treats, such as short truncated bursts of jazz phraseology, tiny fragments of pop, and other similar ‘lapses of taste’. The result is a kind of strangulated lyricism permeated by sudden darting and abrupt changes of direction. The album makes no attempt to pursue a rigorous agenda of pushing forward the ‘boundaries of new music’, but there is a common sensibility at work, regulating the improvisational decision making process.
Leonel Sousa aka Spatial White Noise debut on MiMi Records with some songs recorded in his bedroom in 2002.
Seven years later, he decided to take his songs out of the drawer and the result is this “Alphajerk”, a dreamy and impressive electronic ambience with some delicate acoustic guitar, twinkly songs falling between folk and electronica. A beautifully processed voice featuring on several tracks brings a slight folk element to the equation. Truly brilliant!
Feel free to download and listen to his first album and spread the word about great folktronica/noise music.
the new ep on shkart might be an attempt for glitch hop ,yet these 30 or so minutes are not really composed ,they could have been mistakes as they are ,yet warmer and a bit more friendly still i wanted just to expose the best moments.the idea behind the rough distorted crackles is using a pure sine wave generator and a input follower ,as a title from a band called "beirut - it's a long way from here to the sound ".the patches are as they are ,no midi ,no control (it's all deranged) .and at last - enjoy if you can .

autumn:downpour:machinery (also known as ADM) is the musical brainchild of Dumb (also known as Thomas Torggler). He also plays bass for the progressive- /psychedelic-rock band eating.seats and played this deep, dark side of instruments for the former bands Mindlost and Awaken Phoenix as well. In his spare time Dumb started recording ideas for songs in a home recording environment. A small room was outfitted with some musical equipment and was given the name “Hemisphera Project Studio”. As the seemingly endless number of song fragments began to become overwhelming, Dumb decided to get done with most of them and tailored his first album “Because in rain we trust” in 2008. Later that year he found another 3 worthy pieces that were re-recorded, re-arranged and released under the title “Precipitation in D# - The depression sells EP” in late 2008. At the same time Dumb started his work on a series of releases titled “Fall”. The first chapter in the form of an EP will be released in late march on Airbagpromo Records and will be called “The fall of Darewell Mountain Hold”.

Our newest release from Dave Filaria (Acroplane/Kinnego Flux/Bugklinik).This is an album of mixed styles, some quite recent, some quite old, some in between. They are all generally dancefloorish. It starts with some acid breakbeat, detours into some dubbish step down converters, and finishes with some drum and bass cadet melodic jungle licks...Nice.
