Fragile lo-fi folk music by 21 year old singer and songwriter Julia Kotowski aka Entertainment for the braindead (Eftb). This release is published with cooperation of our friends from aaahh records, a brand new German netlabel with georgeous music.
“Hydrophobia” is full of colourful sounds and melodies. Ukulele, guitar and flute are ever-present instruments, just like Julias wonderful voice and her unconventional percussion that consists of jars, cans, boxes, drawers and peppermills. Her intimate songs are detailed snapshots of thoughts and feelings - sometimes filtered and reflected, sometimes pure and transparent.
All hydrophobia songs are about drowning, are written and recorded between April and July 2008.

Koen Park is the work of Ian D Hawgood. Working between his small apartment in Tokyo and his mum's garage in south London, he makes washed out electro-hip-hop-pop-folk-shoegaze music. Pastoral Pioneer was made with circuit bent casios, drums, piano, field recordings, melodica, harmonium, warbly old tape recorders and musical smarts. The results are both unique and wonderful. Also released today is 'Everything In Shadow', a Koen Park CD release on Experimedia Recordings. It's kind of a sister release to this, as Ian used similar gear. Both releases are super melodic.

d'incise is wellknown by his releases on Zymogen, Test Tube or IOD. He is member of the Audioactivity music & visual collective founded in 2000 in Geneva (CH), releases electronica, electro-acoustic, experimental music solo or with various partners. And he also pratices free improvisation with the Diatribes-project and runs the Insubordinations netlabel, dedicate to improvised music.
His release "Stase / Contre Stase" contains two pieces of live-recordings.
"Stase", recorded during the Mapping Festival, April 2008, is a 22-minutes-piece, based on prepeared sounds from an acoustic guitar. Drones and textures are flickering around in the beginning, shifting from front to back and increase to a point, where all sound-elements seem to thicken to a massive, pending drone. "Contre Stase", recorded in an empty room in an empty house, deals with a similar concept. All sound-textures and layers concentrate on a point, but after a short periode of attraction, the elements seem to drift away, floating into open spaces.
Take a pinch of Mouse on Mars funk, blend with creamy Autechre sounds and season with the pop sensibility of I am Robot and Proud... Egg Beater is dense urban electronic music with catchy melodies, funky rhythms and densely-layered audio landscapes — music to be enjoyed on different levels with each listen!
