Planet Boelex & Lisa’s antenna “Little world” EP

“The days are slowly becoming shorter, the leafs on the trees begin to change their colour, the weather is getting colder, the autumn is approaching. We welcome you to the world of Soft Phase netlabel with our first release, which is a collaboration between two northern artists, Planet Boelex and Lisa’s antenna. The former you might know from the past releases on Monotonik and Kahvi Collective, and we’d suspect you might learn something about Lisa while listening to these songs. Enter Little World, journey into the mysterious sound universe full of soft and sensitive vocals, lyrics that’ll tell you little stories, backed up by the floating melodic atmospheres you’ve grown to expect from Planet Boelex. Perfect for taking with you, while walking in the misty autumn evening, watching the nature silently preparing for the coldness of the winter. Get yourself a nice cup of tea, sit comfortably and let Little World’s songs surround you with warmth and emotion.”

[PS004] QuarterBit - Kyoto Series

The “Kyoto Series” project started when QuarterBit stumbled upon the blog of the designer Pedro Monteiro [whatype.wordpress.com] and saw what this designer had done with information available on the public domain about the Kyoto Protocol. Using the high-resolution files, QuarterBit transformed them, using a self developed databending software, into wav files and then, using another self developed software, transformed those wav files into midi information. Afterwards QuarterBit worked on the resulting files, data mined the sonic information contained on them and the result is here for us all to enjoy. From the harshness of “Carbon Frontiers” to the dub sound in “beyond Kyoto Protocol” this release is a must have.

[RAR026] Pedro Duarte - Pacific Blue EP

We are very excited to bring you this release from Pedro Duarte. This release would have made my cousin Armando Gallop and others like Adonis, DJ Pierre, and Ron Hardy very proud. Pedro does a nice job of fusing together both the old squechy late 1980's sound of Chicago acid house and the early 1990's electro techno sounds and percussion of Detroit. These are sounds that are very rare in today's electronic dance music; which is heavily influenced by minimal techno and funky house sounds. This EP is brings back lots of mememories but at the same time; refeshes the ears, mind, and soul. Go to our netlabel section and download this special little gem for free. We will be releasing lots more music from Pedro in the future, so stay connected.

Red Box Recorder - Fallow Duusk! (acp028)

The debut album from Red Box Recorder makes a statement of intent. Setting his sights on nothing less than world domination and political hegemony, this London-based producer uses the medium of wonky electronica to indoctrinate the masses. Ranging from ravetastic workouts to meditative soundscapes, and embracing everything in between, this is music designed to surprise, delight and induce total brain meltdown – for free! The emphasis here is not on technical wizardry but composition - a considered attempt to create something new out of the familiar components of techno, dubstep, live instrumentation and, er, a touch of classical. Whether it works or not is for listeners to decide, but rest assured that this album makes an exciting new contribution to the body of music we politely call “underground”.
