The album «Trust» by Popshop + Stella-Loreen appears also on the Alpinechic label like the actual and much praised Popshop album «New Bones». It consists many of complex electronic pop songs with playful club appeal. You can listen to these songs at home, at a party or whereever you are. Maya Reale aka Stella-Loreen mixes spoken-word-themes in a way like Anne Clark did with a personal and dynamic vocal style in several layers. This fits perfectly into the metaphorical, thoughtfully and also progressive lyrics by Popshop. For this co-operation, the best twelve songs of the last three years were chosen including a remix by Niels Jensen from Berne, a friend and guest, who already did several releases as part of «Dialogue» on international labels such as Morris Audio, Stattmusik and Thinner. There ist also a live song on the album which is a contrast to the other tracks. «Trust» is in a way a very accessible album. On the other hand it has a constant tension because of the different sounds and refined Popshop arrangements which have a hidden deepness and surprising idioms. Popshop + Stella-Loreen combine a certain coolness of minimal and modern house music with such a vulnerability and character which you can find in independent, pop and post-wave music.

brioskj, living in Italy, has turned into a fairly prolific generator of great music lately. it doesn't seem a week goes by without some kind of preview of an up and coming ep or album arrives in my mailbox. this time, for your listening pleasure, we have a nicely rounded four track ep which proves brioskj has progressed in leaps and bounds in regard to production and general quality since his earlier releases. we've got the 'multi part' basic emotions starting with guitar riffs aplenty and moving into electronic grooves and, my personal favourite, daydreams - which sounds somewhat like an oldskool demo soundtrack? a great release, easy on the ear, easy to get into, which I think will make a great addition to your permanent playlist. Marcus Watkins runs and coordinates Detroit based web-label Random Access Recordings. Marcus was born and raised on the southside of Chicago and started DJing at the early tender age of 13. From small scale events to large outdoor festivals, Marcus has gotten his fair share of notoriety throughout North America and Europe. The mixed is named Crossroads because of its complex and abstract structure similar to different roads making up a major highway system all crossing leading to possible different destinations. Crossroads is Marcus Watkins�s first netlabel mix on Sonic Walker with a great selection of minimal tech-house. We are very happy to welcome him on board.
