Alex "Siren" Brandon Website Launch

Siren is finally back. He just launched a music website featuring a 7 track album, "Era's End." Made by combining tracking with modern music creation tools, the music still retains the same old Siren sound we loved in the 90s.

[NTT047] Ronny Ragtroll presents Greatest Clubhits From Beyond

David Deschuyteneer (aka Ronny Ragtroll/Affective Disorder), a good friend and an exceptionally talented artist, excels in many forms of both graphical and sonic art.
With his "Greatest Clubhits From Beyond" he crawls back into the skin of Ronny Ragtroll, as he did a long time ago for his previous Entity release "[NTT012] Ronny Ragtroll - Smart Disable For All".
Rising from beyond space-time borders into a universe of chill, David might as well be rightfully marked as the inventor of space disco hop. Just give his work a listen and decide for yourself, as you fly along in a mercilessly entrancing masterpiece such as "The Thrill Is Back", or perhaps you could identify with a glance in his Beautiful Messy Room... with the risk of them being stuck in your head for days to come.

"You found my weakness... I prefer to shoot a moving target" - Del Tarrant

Star One is the second remix project to reach maturation on Faxi Island Records, after Second In Command in early 2007. We present you with ten delicious remixes of Faxi's original minimaltech/psy tune Star One. On this one We have got some returning names on Faxi Island - LSDan, Fright Rate and Elmooht - and a bunch of new names to our label. We believe this album is truley a journey, with each remix taking you to a different destination into each of the artist's minds. From DJ Hoax's pumping UK techno vibes, through the bouncy trippy take by Skyhighatrist, and the deep and dark version by Noized - each remix is a new world of sound and color.

The project for the original tune was posted online, and artists could download the project and work thier own remix. The remixes were then collected, and it was decided that we will offer this album as cd and as a digital download. The album is available as a proffesionally manufactured JewelBox CD, Wav digital download, or mp3 digital download in 320 or 192kbps. See below for sale points.

We hope you enjoy this album!

[jahtari] the state of the netlabel scene

An interesting opinion piece from the Jahtari netlabel about the netlabel 2007 festival.

"NETLABEL FESTIVAL 2007 - Going Nowhere Last weekend the 2007 Netaudio festival took place in the RAW Temple in Berlin. Lots of people from the scene from all over the world met in that awesome location to hear and discuss at workshops about the current state of affairs and to have a party afterwards. While the general tone sounded like everything is just splendid, „we“ revolutionaries are fighting „them“ evil Major-GEMA dudes successfully with the Creative Commons license concept and that this generally will be the future I think it's also time for some honest criticism. A thing essential to overcome problems and to improve in general. And a thing totally missing at such a key convention. Which was very strange to behold."
