Proswell remasters and re-releases his first album "Konami", gives it away.

Konami is the first physical album by Joseph Misra, originally released in 2002 on Miami's now-defunct Merck Records (CAT MERCK010). This humble (and admittedly immature) album has continued to charm new listeners nearly 8 years - as of this writing - after its debut and remains a favorite among fans of Proswell, despite its flaws.

For this reason, the album was remastered to fit within a more modern context. Care was taken to maintain the tone and feel of the original album. The final product of this remastering is the album that Proswell thought he was producing through his boombox (with bass and treble knobs turned all the way up).

The sub-par mastering was not discovered until proper monitoring equipment was acquired. By that time, listeners had already grown to love the unique character flaws of the album.

Konami is available under the "name your own price" model, including $0. If you wish you download it free, click BUY NOW and enter $0. It is also available in numerous file formats, lossy and lossless. Get it here: Proswell - Konami (2009 Remaster).

Fature - Syncopated Computer Addiction EP

Inspired by machines, technology and the future. This short but sweet EP starts out with a back to back interpretation of Philip K. Dick classic theory, with some psychedelic avant-garde compositions. It then takes you into a new world, one that was inspired by the Amiga, with crisp hard hitting beats and a chip inspired bassline. To finish off, the direction changes again into jazz influenced downtempo and nu-jazz, something not logical. A lot of thought has gone into all these pieces, and hopefully you will enjoy them. Fature.

RB075 - herzog - first summer and the running dream

herzog - first summer and the running dream

Resting Bell is really happy to welcome herzog, a.k.a. Bill Bawden and his latest EP “first summer and the running dream”. Bill’s previous releases on Serein were the first netaudio-works I got in touch with. And you also might know him from his fantastic release on 12rec. So what an honour to do a herzog-release here on Resting Bell.

“first summer and the running dream” contains 5 tracks with a complete duration of 30 minutes. Compared to his earlier works “first summer...“ has a more droning, a bit distorted character. The sounds are layered very softly and sublime to a very harmonic composition. The overall mood is quite laid-back with noisy, distorted splinters. The noisy elements are getting stronger to the end of the EP but it leaves still a very harmonic picture.

For me a perfect soundtrack of the season. Watching raindrops on the window and feeling wind in the hair.

[NS003] Rho - October Turncoat

Rho

01) Simpl (05:29)
02) JW2 (03:12)
03) Long Drive Home (02:45)
04) And More Rain (05:25)
05) Lightning Strikes and LEDs (04:00)
06) The Game of Flowers (03:02)

mellow electronic / ambient / acoustic music. Rho is childhood friends Steve Setzepfandt and Josh Wittman. No-Source worked with Rho to curate the October Turncoat EP. October Turncoat sets out of show off Rho's more acoustic side. Each track contains washes of guitar complimented with subtle ambient texture. The EP often evokes the sounds of early Bibio or "The Campfire Headphase" era Boards of Canada. Three songs, Simpl, JW2 and The Game of Flowers are all taken from Rho's 2008 debut, "Breathing Through the Liquid System". The songs, Long Drive Home and Lightning Strikes and LEDs are taken from Rho's most recent album "Glass Memories". The EP contains one previously unreleased track, And More Rain, a 5 minute journey of backwards guitars, subtle picking, drums and end of a season.
