mr_mark_dollin failed at submitting an entry to Sound Evotion Compo No.10, but decided to finish the entry off anyway. Raw electronica housing a tense 5/4 groove. It's a journey outside and in.
A long, long time in the making, U.S. artist Troupe presents his first EP for Monotonik, 'It's Really Simple After All', a plain spectacular mix of demo-scene inspired electronica, soaring melodies, and beautiful vocals. You may know Troupe from his early EP for Backtrack, or, indeed, from his recent guest vocal appearance on the Seathasky release for Monotonik, but this 5-track EP from the teenager showcases why it makes perfect sense that he release with us.
Theis ambient mix by echtZEIT starts very smoothly with nice atmospheric sounds from Western Angels and the following tracks make the mood a bit darker and melancholic, but in the end the positve vibes from JMP take away the dark clouds and let the sun shine.

Similarities consists of 5 tracks, each very own in style and ambiance, most probably not something for the mainstream taste but for the people who like the weird stuff, too. The range in styles goes from electro/noise to hypnotizing clicks/ambient gazing.
The album's title is inspired by the common approach to life, meant as coherence in opposing to the banal and the detrimental with our only weapons: imagination and emotions. Our music fundamentally expresses an infinite play of sonic and communicative shapes (glitch, pads, speak & spell) in continuous evolution. The robot's figure is dominant: either as a recollection of a childhood full of myths, giant of steel expression of good, or a transposition of a humanoid universe. hypertechnological but innocent, thinking but still discovering the world. The "plastic pot" is meant to be the mixing of all these ingredients, the melting pot where we tinke searching for the perfect music.
Patterns is the first of what will be a series of Distance and Materials releases for Vorbic. Distance and Materials is Howard Dodd, from West London in the UK, who has been releasing electronic music on and off since 1994. His first appearance was under the moniker Anoesis on D*fusion Records, and since then he's also recorded as Oxidation and one half of Tongue, appearing on labels such as Octopus, Series 500 (Domino), Compost and K7.
Noerror is a project born in early 2000. Its first purpose was to relate some of the most famous demoscene music releases, it extended to all the active demoscene netlabels and finally all the netlabels, no disctinction. Just talent and beautiful music is now the word.
