Muhr - Farewell Anthology
Muhr is canadian Vincent Fugère, the man behind the influential Camomille netlabel and also the record label Apegenine. Sadly, some months ago he made the decision of focusing his efforts to other areas and the labels closed down. Muhr has released albums on several notable netlabels including 12rec, Serein and Miasmah. The new album carries the title "Farewell Anthology", which might signal something that could be interpreted as being the last Muhr album. But such artistic decisions are often not final, conditions and life situations change, but the desire to create music stays in you. Naturally, Muhr is warmly welcomed back any time.
The artists words: "This is an album about parting ways. A soundtrack to many goodbyes I've had to commit to and an ode to the tiny tragedies of life. As we all turn the page to a new chapter of our lives, somethings need to stay behind."

Mikus returns with his second strong dub release on Planet Terror. Rain Down Dub is another showcase for his inimitable approach to the genre, combining grainy old school distortion with modern production styles. 'Rain Down' features another guest appearance from Kevin Robinson on flute. This is dub for the 21st century.
The concept of this EP carries a Possitive electric charge. The tracks have a funky substructure and explode into powerful tech-house tunes. It's the second release with the artist "Buben" on Garganrecords.

The album guides the listener into the impressive and psychedelic trips through the forests around the Baltic sea, through the leaves and lakes, through baroque forest lights, the stars and the shadows, where you will never feel alone, where all the way at warm summer nights and foggy autumn mornings is full of beautiful emotions and transparent feelings – the things, that are not changing with the centuries.
Quiet Lips, suspended in emptiness, undulating and shimmering, fused with water and fire, gives us a feeling appeasing. Strange decor where reality and the fiction merge narrowly ; minimalist landscape evoking a Feeling of Emptiness, disquiet and sometimes of unrest. In the distance, is concealed an Imaginary City curiously beautiful and mysterious giving a disturbing glance and angelic. Behind this thick fog an industrialized and confined Urban Landscape appears in full development more each day. With a great amplitude, Light Vagabond scans the waves and propagates a soft melody which perpetually gyrates losing itself in the bowels of the city. In the depths of the underground galleries, a Haunted Subway Train, staggered in search of its distant past, tirelessly furrows the icy underground tunnels, to disappear into the dark night.

It seems like Astrowind are having the most constant release-frequency on Resting Bell. One release a year, always around September and October. It is the third release on Resting Bell, after "Somewhere The Music Had Been Played" in September 2007 and "Der Leuchtturm" in October 2008. They also released on 12rec and Electrosound/Musica Excentrica.
"Kurland" contains 15 pieces and has a total duration of over 60 minutes, a real longplayer. Kurland is the german name for one of the cultural and historical regions of Latvia (in english: Courland). So you have scenic titles like "Kurland", "Nebel", "Sounds Of The Shores" but also pieces about aerospace and deep sea. Compared to the older Astrowind-releases the new work sounds a bit deeper and adult. You still find the synth-drones and the noises and glitches but everything is arranged very focused, very sublime. Every element is set very sensible and well chosen.
And again Grisha Kochenov did a really impressive artwork.
Noerror is a project born in early 2000. Its first purpose was to relate some of the most famous demoscene music releases, it extended to all the active demoscene netlabels and finally all the netlabels, no disctinction. Just talent and beautiful music is now the word.
