The new Miga´s release is a compact proposal of Texas Sci-Fi project, a group based on experimentation, frequencies exploration, analogic errors and the synchronization between audio and video rhythms. For this complete release, [Miga31] "Figures / Frequencies", they has composed a collection of pieces created from pictoric works of minimalist artists from the twentieth century.
We also accompain this audio reference with the visual piece [Miga_v15] "10 x10 x2 Cubes in blue", that acts like a window allowing us to focus on the work of this interesting group whose maximum advantage is been reflected in its powerfull live act.

Texas Sci-fi is formed at the very beginning of 2008 in Terrassa, a suburban town on the outskirts of Barcelona, Spain. The members of the band are three, Juanjo Fernández and Miki Martínez, two friends who shared an Indie pop project not long ago, together with Miki’s brother Rafa Martinez.
They all work also in other parallel projects with which they have released some albums for several Spanish and international labels. With Texas Sci-fi they put together their best to create, this time, an audiovisual project full of strength, minimalism forcefulness and analogue experimentation. They use a long list of analogue synthesizers in their performances to doing so -Moog, Korg, Roland- combined with other vintage machinery that injects a direct input in the creation of amazing live visuals.
As they use to say, they make “dance minimal sounds with experimental doses of impossible frequencies, white noise, clicks, cuts an bleeps”. A complex sound arisen from footswitches and other electronic stuff that gives shape to a perfect audiovisual synchronisation. The name of their first album is “Cold Landscapes”, a conceptual work for which they create original soundtracks for different cities, always trying to seek the parallelism with geometrical shapes.

Minimalistic EP from our newest memeber Sascha with some nasty kicker moments and acid-ish elements with some mighty tb303 action, smart synths, good groove and awesome atmosphere. Deep down and dirty. For the dancefloor, for the home listening, for the radio, for your Moms and your Dads...
Slow moving but deep digging... The only proper way to listen to this EP is to put your speaker volume to the maximum.
Aircraft Hangar - deep tune with fat acid basslines. Bring the 303 back to its rightful place... on the top of the electronic scene.
Drop Out - catchy melody with some liquid elements phasing you to another dimension... identify yourself with the moving synth play in the background of the track pushing itself toward the front. Lovely.
Contrast - kind of agressive but yet meaningful piece of work. Bring the 90's beat back and watch out for the legendary 808 cowbell. Gives a nice detroit overlook of some sort... don'tcha think?

Tanja D. likes to integrate noise-recordings of everyday life (ventilation-systems, tubes, etc.) as well as lyrics and her own voice...

First album for I-Massive, a duo gathering Fingoonet and Guitoud, who already released an album on Fresh Poulp Records earlier (Analogic Time). You 'll find in "Fire" the Guitoud's dub touch as well as the jungle/d'n'b science of his friend Fingoonet. A joyful mixture where you can also find a remix of Rafiralfiro's Istanbul Engloutie, who could have appeared on the related album. Listening to "Fire" is obviously the best way to start springtime !!
