Our latest release on Bleak is by Textbeak - a very progressive, modern approach to rhythm'n noise. Textbeak is the co-owner of Philtre Records with Claus Muzak, was an original member of the electronic group Body Release (B/Re) in Columbus, Ohio in the early 90’s with Todd Sines, Charles Noel (Archetype, arch_typ) and Titonton Duvante and has been the primary composer of the electronic group Bath since it’s conception in 1993. He has a number of releases out under the names TXT, 1954 and Textbeak on Lasergun Records, Audiotie, Philtre, Vaatican and The 2122 Corporation and an upcoming release on Politicide. As Bath he has releases on Timetheory and Jevan Records and an upcoming release on Vaatican. He also has done numerous remixes and had many compilation appearances. He has played events (performance or DJ) with acts such as Test Department, Meat Beat Manifesto, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Lycia, Daniel Meyer of Haujobb and David J of Bauhaus and Love and Rockets. Besides being a musician and DJ, he is also a published poet and visual artist.
Finally, the ultimate Chris Hülsbeck Remix is here. Flavoured with all that the 80's could give, this is the anthem for the Olympic Games 2008 (in the style of 1984 ;-)). Check it out and enjoy your trip to the 80's!

Segue is Jordan Sauer from Vancouver, Canada. His sound is a patchwork of textures and tones with a focus on the interplay of timbre. These sounds are created through the blending of various instruments (12-string guitar, piano, violin, melodica, glockenspiel, various percussive instruments) and incidental found sounds.
His recent release "a glass darkly" is an absolutly beautiful, meditative and touching piece of music. Haunting melodies, guitar- and piano-miniatures, fieldrecordings, string-drones are blended together carefully to a 22-minute expedition into a deep sea, a unknown forest or a pristine clearing just before sunset. Every sound evolves slowly from a little bud to a magical blossom, which fades away to become another flower again.
A constant evolution, giving you the feeling of warmth, depth and oneness.
Hanne Adam seems to want to conseal the delicate and refined imagery found between the blank spaces of her music; we are treated to marveleous clicks and pops that travel meticulously in carefully constructed spirals and loops, in a clockwork fasion, but beneath this mechanical function, we find ourselves immersed in an organism that breathes in and out, increasingly elevating until the dichotomy reaches a certain unity. The result is a peacefull blend of melancholy and purposefullness and a search that , Adamned.age hints to us, will keep us contrived to our headphones and inspire us
