buckram015 Sqwank -Burnt Out EP

Bohemian underground rockers Sqwank provide us with the pleasure of three of their choicest tunes. Dry Mouth brings us back to a time of post punk and new wave, with catchy lyrics and pop overtones. Organic and mellow, Hibernate lets the mind free. World Wild Web blends country western and classic rock. Three fine songs indeed!

[Cam099] Aw / Ag - Recording for the transparent

Following along the lines of our 97th release from Xedh, comes here another forray into abstraction by the enigmatic duo from holland, Aw/Ag. Glaring through soaring light and concrete forms, this sometimes heartwarming, sometimes suspensefull stare into voids and spaces left blurred and raw is both harsh from its bursts of noise and calming with its distant pads and organic sounds. As the song progresses the spectator becomes spectated, as the ghosts and specters Aw/Ag craft breathe dust and sparkles and static in our captivated ears

[tube082] e:4c - Technical Unwanted Signals

«Compared to their first apparence on Test Tube, Documents, e:4c from Portugal have gone through considerable stylistic changes in their follow-up release "Technical Unwanted Signals Vol. 1": Not only is this release twice as long, but (contrary to what one might expect) their work is now characterised by brevity and focus on essential signals. The music as such remains experimental, but bleeps and blirps are now integrated in a minimalistic post processing style with vast dynamic changes, ambiguous harmonics and vaguely defined percussive structures. Fleeting impressions of unconsciousness characterise e:4c's research of the world from within.
Despite the impressing number of 22 tracks there's no doubt that what seems to be separated tracks are in fact facettes of an entire unit like scenes of a scifi movie (in this case). And so the mothership continues its journey into the unknown, bewildering, sometimes frightening, but also fascinating microworlds, that quickly rearrange themselves like patterns of a caleidoscope, just by the time the listener can get hold of them.» - Olliver Wichmann
