[grat007] substrates \ invalidall

early musical works of andrei bychenkov (substrates) in interpretation of stanislav vdovin (unit 21) – is a good example of intelligent music, which is able to save a man from all concerned prejudices, while the main is: it’s possible to form own attitude to music, to define it in some way – and this will have some meaning. music, as a something that happens secretly, echoing in our world, which is repeating to it, generating queer tones and gradually renewing. but it’s not for long: rhythm and rumble of «invalidall» came from far away and will go even farther. that’s why we don’t have plenty of time. all, that we can – is try to hear an echo of music in our souls, and be glad of it.

get ready – since the very first seconds the lights will grow dim: «invalidall» will headily wrap you round, immersing in dark. and will lead by its rhythmical, dub rumble further and further through endless, gloomy maze. this rumble is so much deep, that footsteps are just unable to disturb its musical palette. Only harmonious interweaving of low-frequent sounds of strings are forcing to look narrowly in the dark, and waking some anxiety inside. anxiety yet faraway and obscure…

[elpa09] Trans alp - "Scrawl"

Another great release by Trans Alp. This artist is known for his attitude to the final sound and work with textures. This release represent much more emotions and mood shadows over the music. Glitch textures combined with good ambient bleep lines supported by delayed clicks. You need to hear this!

ca034 - Siegmar Fricke - Selective Resections

Artist: Siegmar Fricke Title: Selective Resections #ca034 Date: 2007-07-07 Keywords: pharmakustik Tracklist: 1 - Diaphyseal Fracture - 5:07 (224 kbps) 2 - Plasminogen Treatment - 8:00 (224 kbps) 3 - Dermabrasion - 5:06 (224 kbps) 4 - Acromium Decompressor - 8:01 (224 kbps) 5 - Tissue Extension - 5:06 (224 kbps) 6 - Chondrosarcoma - 7:04 (224 kbps) “Neurosurgical resection strategies on decontaminated rhythmofractures. Tissue removal of implanted sequences, chemoradiated repercussions, total vascular exclusion of melodies and segmentectomic bitcrushing. Pharmakustik research in its most bloodless method 2007.” (Siegmar Fricke) “Siegmar Fricke started his first musical experiments in 1981 using tape-recorders and shortwave-radio signals to create collages of musique-concrète that has been recorded on various cassettes. After intense activities in the European tape-scene between 1985 and 1993 Siegmar Fricke founded the project Efficient Refineries together with Miguel A. Ruiz (Orfeon Gagarin) from Madrid who is already active in the Spanish electronic scene since the 80s. Further CD-collaborations with the Italian sound-artist Maurizio Bianchi and were realized: "ENDOKRANIOSIS" (on Tibprod/Norway) and "STROMA~KONKRET" (on Monochrome Vision/Russia). Together with his fiancee Heike Böhm another CD has been published on the Norwegian label TIBPROD: [A:M:B] "Chloramphenol" (=> see: www.myspace.com/chloramb). Siegmar Fricke characterizes his musical works as "Pharmakustik": Pharmakustik might be a new path of sound-innovation in today's technological music that often lacks the approach of intense electromodulation by focussing just on preset-sounds, melodies and familiar song-structures. Pharmakustik instead consists of reduced and syncopated rhythmic patterns, clinically filtered ambiences generated by sampling-technology, electro-modulated voices and linear structure; in detail all single audio-elements are heavily modulated by various electronic devices and therefore very futuristic and abstract. The newest pharmakustik-work entitled "ORTHOTIC" has just been finished in Canada on NISHI as netlabel-release. To get an idea how it sounds, Siegmar Fricke delivered a scientific description: "Mechanical debridements on microscopic rhythmo-fissures. Antimicrobial lavage, transverse cut sections and high-pressure irrigation for traumatized audio-fractures". http://www.myspace.com/siegmarfricke

Why the new TiS might NOT be for you.

Hiya :D Many of us have joined TiS and found it to be a wonderful place.. but.. I suppose that not many of you have read the Terms Of Service that's on there. Since I can't copy and paste the ToS here, I'm afraid I'll have to settle for linking it. (otherwise I'd be open for lawsuits) Anyhow, as the place recently went PG-13 in it's Tos, I read through the entire thing and noticed that you as an artist are giving them a license to do whatever they want to do with your work, and it's NOT non-commercial. So, just as a precaution I've taken down all my songs on that site and will not upload them until they've explicitly stated that it's a non-commercial license. Here's a link to everyone whose registered on TiS: (link is below) Now, one of the two following scenarios are possible: a) it's an oversight, a glitch in the matrix .. the site is in beta stage and so is the ToS i'd imagine. b) it's NOT an oversight, and they're doing this to stay afloat, which is commendable.. if they had given the artist a cut of their profits. At any rate, I just though you people should know.

FPR 009 : pieR - Audiobiographie

First release of the year for Freshpoulp. First for pieR also. An original sound introduction because consisted of two "e-faces". The one rather directed Dub and the other one more electro hip-hop. A singular and tortured atmosphere is outlined throughout the listening with the featurings of Kaapad ( collective Phonethnics) and the rappers of Shimpira, group of electro hip-hop of which pieR makes by.

zymogen/12rec: Various Artists - Sky Diary Edits

Everything started when Sky Diaries, the original EP by young fellow Fred Baty a.k.a. Crepusculum, was released at 12rec. in December 2006. It was a five song EP comprised solely of incredible acoustic music, composed with a guitar and some decent electronic enhancements. His music left me completely stunned and I immediately thought that the pureness of Fred's guitar-play would be a fantastic inspiration in the hands of electronic musicians. From both Zymogen and 12rec., several names came up. We were lucky enough to receive enthusiastic responses from both sides as well as from artists of other great labels such as EKO, Rain Music, Autoplate, Standard Klik Music and Nexsound. In the end there were so many great tracks that we decided to assemble two different playlists; one for the digital EP, downloadable for free on Zymogen, and one for the amazing handmade CDr-LP available at the 12rec. webshop, both with exclusive remixes and artwork. Many artists took part in the project, adding their personal touch to every single Crepusculum track. These include Tupolev bassist and sound-artist Alexandr Vatagin, Darren McClure, Engine7, Emil Klotzsch & Raimund Sudermann, Bluermutt, Letna, Alexandre Navarro, Ibakusha, The Love Songs, Heezen, Koutaro Fukui, GoGooo and the Netaudio legend Marsen Jules who contributed different remixes for both the album and the EP.
