Having worked closely with Bogdan Dullsky (Quest.Room.Project - see NTT043) on this 1st album of the Psygnosis trilogy, Idle Sunder has transcended the space drone boundaries they were once confined to, to visit a universe of remarkably visual minimal rhythms and manipulated instruments/recordings.
All of the tracks contain a great diversity in both sound and style, while retaining a quite conceptual atmosphere which holds ground in between existential and psychological ideas that are sure to be elaborated on throughout the remainder of this project.

Mild, often happy - not euphoric -, mid-tempo - not too slow and definitely not too fast. It’s a pleasant blend of moments, from pop music to experimental stuff. It’s pop for the non-pop listeners (Post-pop electronic music if you want to name it). It’s more about instruments than voice, which has a slightly metallic touch (post-human). The passages, approaches of structure, melody (usually strong without losing it’s environmental side) and effects are often exotic; they don’t sound like a band’s everyday meal - the end of "Before Guns" is a perfect example of an ingenious and surprising ending.

The last release from the kollectiv before summer break is a various artist compilation from a highly respected bunch of artists who enjoy their leatherwear. This originally limited edition cdr included the text ' “It's an extremely limited exclusive non-profit cd brought to you by Haerski Muumi and the artists who all are very nice people. Without their help our parties couldn't exist.”' As you can imagine, the tracks are fun, unique in their texture, interesting in their appearance and perhaps occasionally challenging - every new listen revealing something new. Some familiar artists from previous kahvi releases show they hail from an alternative reality and don`t actually exist in our universe at all. (click the artist names to visit their websites).
