Stig Inge Oy from Poland incorporates acoustic instruments field recordings and post processed audio signals not commonly associated with music as primary sources for his close-in-the-box electroacoustic music, as he would call it. In the case of 39 68 99 09, the first release for the Petcord netlabel, this equates to tension ridden cinematic soundscapes that confront listeners with gloomy feelings of despair. The title refers to years that Maciej Miskiewicz, the man behind Stig Inge Oy, consider corner stones of the Western civilisation, though it remains unclear which events the composer had in mind. The work is characterised by a chilly feeling of hopelessness that does not entirely go away even at the lighter and more accessible parts. Sombre piano lines are contrasted with glassy drones, ecclectic string parts, guitars drowning in reverberation and processing artifacts like distortion, skipping sources or plain white noise. Caught in between tension and desperation, the listener is confronted with intense feelings that seem to be at odds with today's tendency of drowning dissent in a sea of political correctness.
Olliver Wichmann
The 2nd LP from Berlin's Vertical67. His last album, 'Reflect' remains among the most popular ACPs to this day, but this one certainly tops it, feeling more like a complete album. The themes are similar, at times uplifting and psychedelic, others dark and melancholic, but his production has come on a long way. In our opinion, this LP deserves to rank with the best of 2009, and is certainly among the best Acroplane releases to date.
An ethereal energy invites you to dance and enjoy, inside a sea of beats blending electronic music and melodies, Sol whispering, screaming, singing, Leo playing sound effects between machines and synthesizers.
Dharmatec presents this single that surprises and agitates, that emerge from unexpected places.
Dharmatec was born in June 2008 when singer and composer Sol Taranto, after recording solo material, embarked on a new project with musician and composer Leonardo Canizzo. Even though she utilized electronic music as an intense part of her solo project, both of them achieve Dharmatec founded into the aesthetic and the sound of electronic music itself, and it’s taken to an extreme art inviting you to the electronic sounds of Psycho Trance.
Herman Muntzing: 12-stringed electric guitarlike instrument

Alex's band (zuramone), is actually some sort of rockabilly stuff, and although this is not particulary very close to rockabilly, it ended by being like some sort of hybrid between some drum n bass (sometimes close to photek when the acoustic drums appears), and something close to trance music, reminding me some aproaches in shpongle. In short, hardware electronic instruments, like drum machines, synths and so on, then a couple of guitars, and some drums.

Folktronic, mellow, electronic, acoustic music. Starting your first netlabel isn't all sunshine and waffles, but it sure feels good. Two months of work went into curating this initial compilation. Why start with a compilation? Well, it's the setting of a play. It's the initial spectrum of audio that you can look forward to hearing from this netlabel. Some of these artists are good friends, some new friends, and others are some of our favorite netlabel musicians. Selbyville, Oculoss, Full-Source, Will Bangs, and Background Radiation contribute to the folktronic part of this release with beautiful acoustic guitar-driven compositions. Multi-Panel and TEKC contribute music that isn't quite IDM, isn't quite shoegaze, but is completely stunning throughout. Eleven Steps brings us a subtle piece of acoustic ambiance. The brilliant field recordings just draw you in. Finally, Young and Old, øjeRum and Mansfield share three variants of acoustic folk stylings. Young and Old draws on lo-fi bedroom recording, Mansfield layers political samples, and øjeRum dreams in reverb. Enjoy No-Source's first adventure.

A rare cohesive release for me dedicated fully to the dance floor. Explorations into the classic elements of house, techno, minimal, acid, and disco. Feel free to move!
Noerror is a project born in early 2000. Its first purpose was to relate some of the most famous demoscene music releases, it extended to all the active demoscene netlabels and finally all the netlabels, no disctinction. Just talent and beautiful music is now the word.
